The events at the end of 2008 that led to the current global financial crisis have also had an impact on the issuance and handling of documentary credits.

Objective

This workshop will look at all these issues in some detail and show how a proper structure of the letter of credit itself and a correct application of the UCP rules to meet that criteria can help all parties better manage the documentary credit process and alleviate many of the problems being experienced at this critical time. Participants should attend with the view to sharing their experiences and the panel of speakers will offer their advice and guidance for future transactions.
