Joint Stock Commercial Industrial & Investment Bank (close stock company) was formed in August 1992. The overall history of the bank is more than 85 years.
Significant loans to the metallurgy, mechanical engineering, transport, construction, agriculture contributes to the development of these branched of industry. Three times in 2003, 2004 and in 2006 Prominvestbank was awarded The Bank of the Year for Ukraine by the world known English magazine "The Banker".
In autumn 2008 Prominvestbank's liquidity significantly decreased because of large withdrawal of the customers' funds. The National Bank of Ukraine established Temporary Administration in Prominvestbank on the 7th of October 2008 in order to regulate the business and to restore the liquidity.
On January 15, 2009 Securities and Stock Market State Commission issued the Certificate confirming Prominvestbank share issue for the total amount of UAH 1 300 175 000 was registered in the General Register of Issued Securities (Registration number - №505/1/08; date of registration - 30 of December, 2008).
According to the results of additional issue, State Corporation 'Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)' (Russian Federation) has the control over 75% of the share capital of Joint Stock Commercial Industrial & Investment Bank ( Prominvestbank).
The Financial Recovery Plan of, provided by shareholders of the bank, also includes, except increase of share capital, additional financing for over UAH 7 billion and attraction of clients with significant cash flows that will very soon restore good performance and efficient business of Prominvestbank.
Today Prominvestbank conducts its business in ordinary way and follows economical standards of National Bank of Ukraine. The Financial Recovery Plan is being carried out and Management Boards of the bank have been appointed. In connection with this the Board of National Bank of Ukraine took a decision to terminate the functions of Temporary Administration in Prominvestbank on March 17, 2009 (Resolution of NBU №139 dated March 17, 2009).
