Goffin Bank was founded in 1956 under the name HBM (Mortgage and Beleggingsmaatschappij). Savelkoul The family owns since 1978. In 2001 the name was changed to Goffin Bank and today is one of the few banks under Belgian law.
Goffin Bank is recognized by the CBFA (Banking, Finance and Insurance Commission) and connected to the Protection Fund for Deposits.
Goffin Bank would play a role in the market for traditional savings and investment products for individuals in Belgium. These products are offered through an agent network (some 40 agents spread across Flanders) or directly via the Internet through Direct Banking. Goffin Bank also works with clientaanbrengers by individuals to learn about their bank. Furthermore Goffin Bank mortgage loans to individuals through credit brokers.
Goffin Bank has become the specialist in wholesale banking: supplier and buyer of foreign currency and gold.
