Aiming to further enhance the quality of customer service in Austria and Emerging Europe, UniCredit Group will bundle and integrate the major markets and investment banking activities of Bank Austria within UniCredit CAIB AG (UniCredit CAIB) by 1 October 2008. Based in Vienna, the 100-percent subsidiary of Bank Austria runs the institutional equity business, research, as well as merchant banking and trading activities with institutional counterparties. With its wide-spread network across Emerging Europe, UniCredit CAIB is one of the leading players in the M&A advisory and equity capital markets business in the region.
